The ideal road to custom ownership.
Our custom sales managers, all with over 15 years experience with us, will assist you with everything throughout the building process. We will sweat all the details, so that you can enjoy a pleasant & hassle-free experience:
- Select a home to be individualized from our portfolio or bring us your custom plans.
- Write sales contract and make initial deposit.
- Apply for financing, if necessary.
- Plan all the changes, additions & modifications required for your custom home design.
- Select your custom home systems, features, materials & finishes for desired luxury & energy efficiency.
- Approve your site plan, coordinated by us with a Civil Engineer.
- If you have an existing home on your lot: Contact utility companies (gas, electric, sewer, water cable & phone) to disconnect service.
- Upon receipt of disconnect letters from appropriate utility companies & any applicable fees from you: We will apply for a demolition permit & help you select a demolition contractor.
- Upon receipt of applicable fees & information from you: We will coordinate submission of a permit package.
- If your lot is served by public sewer & water: Contact the appropriate authorities for applicable fees & a written list of their requirements for new connections.
- If your lot is on well & septic: Contact the county health department for permit requirements & select a well & septic contractor to perform excavation.
- Contract with an excavation contractor to perform excavation.
- Review & finalize your contract, plans & finish schedule.
- Attend a Pre-Construction Orientation covering everything from this point through final delivery.
- Upon issuance of a building permit & receipt of required deposits: Construction of your new home will begin.
- After carpentry begins: A schedule of dates through completion will be issued.
- At a comprehensive Pre-Drywall Quality Control Walkthrough: Review the construction of your new home to ensure all contract options are either present or prepped & that the house is per your architectural plans; verify the placement of such items as overhead lights, fans, electrical switches, structured wiring items & shelving layouts, etc.; receive the final schedule for home completion.
- ProHome will contact you approximately 2 – 3 weeks prior to completion of your home: To schedule your Pre-Settlement Inspection & New Home Orientation.
- At your Pre-Settlement Inspection & New Home Orientation: (1 week prior to home completion) ProHome will systematically take you through every detail of your home, explaining how things work, pointing out where things are & answering any questions you may have. ProHome will explain our procedures for completing any items noted at this meeting as well as how all future inspections & warranty issues are handled.
- Contact ProHome 30 days after settlement: To schedule your 30 Day Walk-Through for a ProHome representative to visit your home & review any warranty requests (Required repairs will be performed at your home.).
- Contact ProHome 11 months after your settlement: To schedule your 11 Month Walk-Through for a ProHome representative to visit your home & review any warranty requests (Required repairs will be performed at your home.).
